I too have been on a soup jag lately ... hard to resist given the weather in Boston. I'm not sure I'd ever tackle butchering an ox tail (I'll boil a live lobster ... but that tail ... yuck), so my two faves are definitely the peanut butter soup (I just created a PB soup myself featuring sauteed bell peppers, brown rice, curry, chicken, etc) and the sweet potato soup. And you DID get a deal on the oxtail. The whole thing for $6? That's a bargain. I love oxtail stew. People who haven't had it before get a little squeamish. But really, if you love short ribs, you will love oxtail even more. The same great big beefy flavor and tender, fall-off-the-bone meat -- but to the nth degree. ;) What a great concept!
